In 2000 Gareth Nixon, founding principal of Nixon Motorsport, started his racing career with Skip Barber race school. Racing in the Skip Barber series he got three third places, two seconds, two poles and a win at the Glen in the rain.

It was in 2006 Nixon Motorsport was formed and competed in the UK Mini Challenge, winning the British championship with 13 wins out of 16 races. The team ran a partial schedule in the UK Seat Leon Supercopa Championship achieving six podiums and two pole positions.

Gareth’s quick success in racing is attributed to a program he developed called Driving Your Mind. The program helps an individual better tap into brain function and information retention - useful for any level of racecar driving, helping himself and other driver’s get up to speed quickly.

Gareth is married to Anita and has 3 young children.
